Today’s blog post is all about Sarah E… she’s a rockstar (and rock climbing) yogi whose birthday was a couple days ago and just completed her nursing school program. She currently teaches the sunrise classes at extendYoga on Tues/Thurs 6:30am.
Check out this interview and make sure to give her a birthday hug, a congratulatory high five or smile, next time you see her teaching, greeting you at the front desk or rolling her mat out in class.
*Tell me a little bit about yourself (something we might not know).
I am a nursing student at Montgomery College, I love to sing, and I want to move to London. ***And she just passed her final and will be graduating from nursing school!!! Congrats Sarah!***
*What is your current favorite yoga pose and why?
My current favorite yoga pose is drangonfly pose! I love the shape and balance of this pose! Its a perfect test of grace and power.
*What is your favorite part about working at extendYoga and about yoga in general?
I love the community at the studio! The staff and students are all so awesome! extendYoga is my favorite place to be! Yoga makes me feel strong and centered. Even now I can’t believe how being both a teacher and student of yoga has changed my life. My level of awareness of myself and surroundings has opened up my world into a kaleidoscope of experiences I never imagined I could have!
*Other than yoga, what are your passions/favorites?
I love animals and horseback riding. I have had horses for most of my life and they are a big part of who I am. I love to be pampered at the spa as well. I am not ashamed to admit that I enjoy being a princess for a day 🙂
*What’s on your iPod?
COUNTRY!!! I love Country Music! But also some classics, yoga music, 50’s Hits, Brendan James, and of course Lady Gaga. I would need a book to list all of my music because I have a very, shall we say interesting, taste in music (but really it is borderline insane…).
