Danielle Dennis(she/her)

Studio Director, Substitute Teacher

Danielle came to the yoga practice at the cusp of her entry into college through the magic of dvd’s and college yoga classes. It wasn’t until 2015, after developing a consistent practice, that she understood the many modalities of yoga and the numerous benefits the practice has to offer. Danielle came to the extendYoga family in 2016 after moving to Rockville with the mission to find a yoga community to continue this building on her practice and soon after became an Ambassador.

Since completing her teacher training here at extendYoga in 2018, her intention as an instructor has been to help others learn how to take postures that feel good in their bodies and cultivate a practice they can build on throughout their lifetime. She loves sharing the gift of yoga with others, so they can reap the benefits as well. She believes that yoga is a gift that can be introduced and catered to every person at any age with any body type.

In 2019, Danielle furthered her role at extendYoga as a Front Desk Coordinator and later transitioned into the Studio Director role. She also manages our social media and you may have noticed her capturing the essence of the studio digitally.  Danielle also manages our Adopt A Road Clean Up task force and enjoys spending time with other extendYogis giving back to the community.

When she’s not at the studio, she works full-time as a Behavioral Health Case Manager and finds use for her skills as a yoga practitioner in her work with her clients. Her non-yoga hobbies include exercising, hiking, traveling, plants, and (recently) learning how to swim. Danielle is grateful for the extendYoga community and the sense of home it has created for her.
