Jen Swetlow

extendYoga has been my yoga studio since 2016 and my 2nd home for my current position as Studio Director since 2018. I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY that Arlet has created based on values of collaboration and creativity. Everyone here is a cooperative of individuals fully embracing their hearts, stories, and journeys. Yoga has been a path for my own individual growth, healing and a tool to help uncover my best self AND accept/integrate all parts of my being, the “good” and “bad.”

The best part of being an “SD” (Studio Director), is that I get to know everyone, do things behind the scenes, and bring my essence and creativity to life to share with the collective. I enjoy all things nature, gardening indoors and out, astrology, organizing/cleaning and art of all kinds! The studio chalkboard has been a great revelation and outlet to my artistic abilities which I didn’t know existed in this medium.

In my time away from the studio I’m a mom to 3 kids who joined the public schools in 2021 after being “homeschooled” (we were never home – but out in the DMV learning along with other homeschoolers).

I look forward to growing with this amazing community, and furthering my own yoga practice in the studio and out in the world to be lived.
