Sy (M.S. Yoga Therapy, C-IAYT, 500 E-RYT, RAYT, RALC, YACEP) has a passion for guiding people to find what they need using the tools of yoga and Ayurveda. Using yoga postures (asana), breath work (pranayama), meditation practices, and hand gestures (mudra), Sy enjoys helping people feel at home in their body while exploring their own mind, energy, and spirit to grow closer to Self. As an experienced instructor and a certified yoga therapist with a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy, Sy loves formulating evidence-informed yoga practices for a variety of people’s needs. With a background in trauma informed training, Sy is passionate about creating a safe space in the yoga room. Their own yoga journey allowed and continues to allow them to enhance their healing journey from trauma, and they hope they can help others do the same. Sy is currently a full time clinical Mind/Body Therapist in a hospital setting working with individuals with symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, and chronic pain. In their spare time, you can find them stand up paddle boarding, climbing, camping, hiking, reading, enjoying nature, and playing with their cat, Bodhi.
